History
November, 1951 As a private individual, Hisao Higaki established a shipbuilding yard and began the manufacture and repair of wooden ships. Company name:Higaki Hisao Zosensho
June, 1964 Incorporated and reinforced administration.

November, 1967 First berth for gross tonnage 1,000-ton shipbuilding completed, becoming a shipyard licensed by the Ministry of Transportation.
October, 1969 100th ship completed.launched.
June, 1971 "Akasaki Shipyard" mould loft and office work plant completed.
May, 1973 Capital increased to 48 million yen.
November, 1976 100-ton crane added.
October, 1977 200th ship completed.
October, 1982 Aggregate dead-weight tonnage of several million tons achieved.
October, 1982 Computers introduced to establish an in-house computerized manufacturing and management system.
August, 1983 300th ship completed.
February, 1991 10,300 dead-weight ton cargo ship launched.
November, 1991 Received approval for, and completed expansion of, floating dock from, 1999 to 2,999 gross tons.
March, 1993 Received approval for, and completed expansion of, floating dock from, 1999 to 2,999 gross tons.
March, 1994 Completed HSB House which had been built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the company's founding.
July, 1995 Tokyo office moved to company-owned building in Shinkawa(Shinkawa Musashiya Bldg.).
December, 1996 Assumed management of an Innoshima City hull block plant.
April, 1997 In-house generating facilities introduced at Head office shipyard.
February, 1998 Permission received for, and completed, expansion facilities from 5,999 gross ton berth to 6,800 gross tons.
February, 1998 Shipbuilding consolidated system "Tribon" introduced.
January, 1999 150-ton crane added.
5OOth ship completed.
June, 1999 11,000 dead-weight ton chemical tanker
March, 2000 Obtained certificate of ISO9001 from Lloyd.
September, 2001 Obtained certificate of ISO14001 from Lloyd.
February, 2003 Permission received for, and completed, expansion facilities from 6,800 gross ton berth to 7,300 gross tons.
November, 2003 Permission received for, and completed, expansion facilities from 7,300 gross ton berth to 9,990 gross tons.
